Welcome!

The Center for Multimodal Solutions for Congestion Mitigation (CMS) is a U.S. DOT Tier 1 University Transportation Center (UTC) grantee, which will work with the transportation community to investigate and develop innovative approaches to solving congestion problems. The CMS will support research in recurrent congestion, non-recurrent congestion, multimodal strategies, and demand modeling. It will receive up to $1 million per year in 2007, 2008, and 2009, from the Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) of the U.S. DOT, and matching funds from non-federal sources such as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to at least equal to the U.S. DOT grant amount.
