Biographical Profile

Thomas F. Rossi
Principal
Cambridge Systematics, Inc.

Tom Rossi is a Principal of Cambridge Systematics with over 25 years of experience in the areas of travel demand forecasting and transportation planning. He has developed and applied travel demand models throughout the country. Since 1993, he has been working with the U.S. Department of Transportation to conduct research and develop and teach training courses in travel demand modeling, and he has led the development of several standard reference documents. He is the chairman of the Transportation Research Board's Transportation Demand Forecasting Committee. He is regularly invited to serve on numerous expert panels, including peer review panels, concerned with travel modeling. Tom received bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and mathematics and a master's degree in transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
