CMS Graduate Assistantship
The CMS Assistantship is available for students entering a doctoral program in any of the transportation-related specializations such as civil engineering, urban and regional planning, occupational therapy, and industrial and systems engineering. Master's degree applicants may be eligible depending on academic achievement and demonstrated research capability. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. CMS Dissertation Research Award
The program is open to doctoral students in a transportation-related discipline area who have been admitted to Candidacy by the Graduate School, and with a dissertation proposal approved by their supervisory committee. Funding is available for up to two semesters. The primary reason is to support students in their efforts to conduct and/or complete their dissertation research. Funding beyond two semesters is possible and based on satisfactory progress toward completion of the dissertation. Applicants may use the funding for data collection, stipend, tuition, etc. Applicants must submit a proposal, including a budget and timeline. The application deadline is in March of each year.
